A real one, made in the studio from a single sentence. Walk through its four steps and watch the finished video.

Rusty Fixes the Kite

A fox says sorry after breaking his friend’s kite

Here is the story. Rusty the fox trips and breaks Bella’s sunny kite. He says sorry, and with Tom’s help the friends mend it with colourful tape and watch it fly. Seven scenes, three friends and a narrator. Shall I draw the characters?

Ask Toonino…
  • NarratorThe wind danced through the green woods.
  • RustyLet me hold the sunny kite, Bella!
  • NarratorRusty ran fast and tripped on a rock.
  • NarratorSnap! The wooden frame broke in two.
  • BellaOh no, my sunny kite is broken!
  • RustyI am so sorry, Bella.

How it works

From story idea to finished video in 4 steps

No timeline, no clips to drag around. Just your idea.

The first scene of the story

Your idea

Make a bedtime story for Ema. She is not sleepy, and then she sees that the Moon cannot fall asleep either. She helps with stars and a cloud blanket.

  • NarratorIt was bedtime, but Ema was not sleepy at all.
  • EmaI am not tired. Not even a little bit!

Made around your child

Their face, their drawing, their big day

A story means more when it is about them. These are the ways to make it theirs.

A dinosaur drawn by a child
The drawing
It moves
A scene of the story, drawn around the dinosaur by the same hand
Its story

Their drawing becomes the hero

Take a photo of a drawing. The dinosaur they drew walks into the story just as they drew it, and every scene is drawn by the same little hand. Or bring that one picture to life as a short clip.

Animate a drawing Make it a story

Stories for the big days

The first day of school, a new baby, a visit to the dentist. The story tells the day as their own little adventure, so they know what to expect.

  • The first day
  • A new baby
  • The dentist
  • Moving home
  • A wobbly tooth

Pick a moment

A photo becomes a character

Your child, your dog or a favourite toy. Add one photo and the character is drawn to look like them, the same in every scene. The photo is not kept on our servers.

Choose what happens

The story stops at a turning point and asks. Your child picks, and the story goes on from there.

Episodes that remember

Make the next episode with the same characters, places and voices. The new story knows what happened before.

Open a book and watch the story rise

Pick a story, type your child’s name, and the book is written and drawn around them. Read it on the screen, or print the PDF at home.

Why Toonino

Other tools make clips.
Toonino tells stories.

A kids’ video needs more than pretty pictures. Toonino plans the story first: who the hero is, what they want, what gets in the way and how it ends.

Other tools

Clip 1

Clip 2

Clip 3

One prompt gives you a handful of pretty shots that have nothing to do with each other. No beginning, no problem to solve, no ending.

  1. Beginning of the story

  2. Middle of the story

  3. End of the story

    End

Finds the hero’s goal, the obstacle and the resolution. Asks you when something is unclear, then outlines three acts before it draws a single frame.

What it does

Everything a kids’ video needs, in one place

No plugins and no exporting to another app to finish the job.

  • A story, not just scenes

One sentence becomes a story with a beginning, a middle and an end, in words that fit the age you choose.

  • Characters that stay the same

Looks and outfits are approved once and carried through every scene of the video.

  • A voice for every character

A shy bunny should not sound like a bold fox. Each character speaks in a voice that fits.

  • A narrator who tells the story

Warm and calm for bedtime, bright and lively for a lesson. Hear the voices and pick the one that fits.

  • Eleven languages

English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Indonesian or Albanian. A finished video can be copied into another one.

  • Music that fits the mood

Calm for bedtime, playful for a silly day, big for an adventure. The music is made for your video.

  • Eleven looks to choose from

3D animation, 2D cartoon, anime, watercolour, paper cut, clay, plush toys, crayon and more. One of them keeps your child’s own drawing just as it is.

  • Ready for every screen

16:9 for YouTube and the TV, 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. One story, both shapes.

  • Captions to read along

The words of every line appear as it is spoken, with the name of who says it, so kids can read along.

Who it is for

Made for people who create for kids

Kids and family channels

You publish two to four times a week and need production that does not eat your whole schedule.

  • From story idea to finished video in minutes
  • Export in YouTube 16:9 or Shorts 9:16
  • The same style and cast in every episode of a series
  • No studio, no team, no editing software

Kid-safe by design

Made with parents and teachers in mind

  • Checked before it is written

Every idea is checked first. One that is not right for young children is turned down before a story is written or a picture is drawn.

  • Your photos stay yours

A photo of your child is used only to draw their character. It is sent for that one drawing and is never stored on our servers.

  • Accounts are for adults

Toonino is a tool for parents, teachers and creators. Children do not sign up.

  • You have the final say

Nothing is published for you. Watch the video first, then decide where it goes.

Questions about making kids’ videos with Toonino

Do I need video editing experience?

No. You type a story idea and Toonino handles the script, the pictures, the voices and the assembly. You review, change what you like and download.

Can my child be the hero of the story?

Yes. Give the hero your child’s name and describe them, or add a photo and the character is drawn to look like them. The photo is used for that drawing only and is not stored on our servers.

Can I use my child’s drawings?

Yes. Take a photo of the drawing. It can become a character that looks exactly as it was drawn, set the look of the whole story, or be turned into a short moving clip on its own.

Can I make a book instead of a video?

Yes. Pick a ready-made story or start from your own photos. You get a picture book to read on the screen and a PDF to print at home.

Can I change the video without a timeline?

Yes. Ask in plain words, for example “make the ending funnier”, and only that part is updated.

Which languages can the story be in?

English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Indonesian and Albanian. A finished video can also be copied into another of these languages.

Is it safe for content kids will watch?

Every idea is checked before a story is written, and stories are written for young children. You should still watch every video yourself before you publish it.

Which formats can I download?

16:9 for YouTube and 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, from the same story.

What does it cost?

Plans start at $12 a month. Every plan has the whole studio; they differ in how many credits come with them. A credit is spent when something is written, drawn, voiced or animated, so a storybook video takes few and a fully animated one takes more.

Your next kids’ video is one idea away

No editing skills. No footage. No team. Just your story.
